This policy explains what the AC Stand Calculator app collects, what actually leaves your device, and who can see it. It is short because the app does very little with your information.
F&L Aluminum Parts, Inc. ("F&L," "we," "us," or "our") makes the AC Stand Calculator to help HVAC contractors and installers estimate wind loads on air conditioner unit stands and determine how many leg frames a given configuration requires.
The app has no accounts, no logins, and no advertising. It asks for a handful of measurements, and optionally your name and email if you want a copy of your results. That is the whole extent of it.
Everything the app handles is typed in by you. There are two kinds:
Measurements for the calculation. Unit height and width for each unit, stand height, design wind speed, building height, and whether the installation is coastal or non-coastal. These are job specifications, not personal details.
Your name and email address. Entirely optional. The app only asks for these if you choose to email yourself a copy of the results, and the calculator works normally if you leave them blank.
This is the part most privacy policies leave vague, so here it is precisely:
| What you enter | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Measurements unit dimensions, stand height, wind speed, building height, coastal or non-coastal |
Sent to us Transmitted to our calculation service over an encrypted connection, which computes the wind loads and leg frame counts and returns them to the app. No name, email, device identifier, or location is attached. |
| Your name and email address | Stays on your device Never transmitted to F&L or to any service we operate. They are written into the PDF report and used to fill in the recipient line of your device's own mail composer. You send that email yourself, from your own email account, to the address you entered. We never receive it. |
If your device has no mail account set up, the app offers the standard iOS share sheet instead, and where the PDF goes from there is entirely your choice.
Measurements are used for one purpose: running the calculation you asked for and returning the result. We do not use them to build a profile of you, your projects, or your customers, and we do not use them for marketing.
Because your name and email never reach us, we cannot use them for anything at all — including sending you marketing we were never in a position to send.
The calculation itself runs on a hosted workflow automation platform (n8n Cloud) that we operate our engineering logic on. It receives only the measurements described in Section 2, processes them on our behalf, and is not permitted to use them for its own purposes.
We do not sell your information, share it with data brokers, or disclose it to advertisers. We may disclose information if required to by law, but given how little the app transmits, there is very little to disclose.
Measurements are processed to generate your result and are not retained to build any record of you or your jobs. Operational logs kept by our calculation service for reliability and troubleshooting are retained only as long as needed for that purpose.
If you email or call us for support, we keep that correspondence as long as needed to help you and to maintain a reasonable business record. You can ask us to delete it.
For clarity, the app does none of the following:
The app also does not track you as that term is defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, which is why it never asks for tracking permission.
Leaving the name and email fields blank costs you nothing but the emailed copy — every calculation feature works without them.
Because there is no account and no stored profile, there is no history of your use for us to hand over or erase. If you have contacted us and want us to access, correct, or delete that correspondence, write to the address in Section 11 and we will handle it within a reasonable time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under laws such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights or comparable state privacy laws. We honor those requests regardless of where you are, using the same contact address.
The AC Stand Calculator is a professional tool for contractors, installers, and engineers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Measurements are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections using the standard encryption built into iOS. No transmission or storage method is perfectly secure, but the app is deliberately designed so that there is very little sensitive information in transit in the first place.
If we change what the app collects or where it sends it, we will update this policy and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app or in its App Store release notes. If a future version of the app sends your name or email to our servers, this policy will say so plainly before that version ships.
